Kineos was founded in March 2005 by Beta Film and KirchMedia. The sales and distribution firm, today a 100% subsidiary of Beta Film, handles the German-language Free-TV rights of former KirchMedia. Kineos’ rights portfolio comprises about 8,000 titles, including 6,500 feature films.

Of these, more than 4,000 are U.S. productions such as “Transporter,” “Gangs of New York,” “Fight Club,” “Bend It Like Beckham” as well as classics such as “The Great Gatsby” and “Citizen Kane.” Also strongly represented are series such as “Sex and the City,” “Emergency Room (E.R.),” “The Simpsons,” “Friends” and “Baywatch.” The library also features 2,000 German-language classics such as “Ludwig II,” “Das Mädchen Rosemarie,” “Sissi” and the “Feuerzangenbowle” as well as long-running series such as “Bergdoktor.”.
