Best Series Award for “NSU German History X” at prestigious French TV Festival Séries Mania

Munich, 25 April 2016. The mini-series NSU German History X has won the Blogger's Award for Best Series at the renowned French TV Festival Séries Mania. Five well-known bloggers (Nora Bouazzouni - Libération et Slate.fr; Christophe Chadefaud - Popandup.fr, Julia Ménez - vidéo-blog Les ShowRunners, Alexandre Letren - Season1.fr, Radio VL and Arancha Sánchez – Tvspoileralert.com), specialized on TV shows, voted for their favorite series of the year based on first episodes of the Séries Mania selection. The first part of NSU German History X, directed by Christian Schwochow ("The Tower"), shows the awakening of the racism-motivated terrorist group, which became the National Socialist Underground/NSU, killing immigrants in cold blood. Beate Zschäpe, suspected to be an active member of the NSU, is still on trial today.

NSU German History X has just recently be sold to the main Scandinavian broadcasters DR, NRK, SVT and YLE, deals with US and UK are in final negotiations. The show (3x90') was produced by Gabriela Sperl ("Line of Separation") and Academy Award-winning Wiedemann&Berg ("The Lives of Others") for SWR, WDR, BR, ARD Degeto, MDR in association with Beta and Telepool.
