Beta’s NRK Super production ALLROUND CHAMPION wins International Emmy Kids Award

Cannes, 6 April 2016. Beta Film's NRK Super production Allround Champion has been honoured with the International Emmy Kids award at yesterday's ceremony in Cannes. The reality show featuring 14-year-old athletes from various sports won the non-scripted entertainment category. Canadian producer marblemedia has optioned the rights to adapt a version for North America. Allround Champion (20x40'), available as format and as ready-made-series, has been produced by NRK Super, Beta handles the international rights.

Hildri Gulliksen, Head of NRK Super: "This is a big recognition of Norwegian quality content for kids. The series is developed and produced by NRK Super, and we are so proud of it and grateful for the response from our audience. The series has also won the international competition Prix Jeunesse, so we couldn't be more happy."

Allround Champion is a feel-good reality series featuring teenage-athletes who are each among Norway's best in their individual type of sport. Through the series they learn each other's sports and all compete against each other in them. We follow the contestants as they push their limits farther than they thought possible. The key focus of these diverse sports is to show the cooperation with one another, while mastering and enjoying it.

Hildri Gulliksen: "Most important for us are of course the children. They are our dedicated audience and this time, also our great contestants. We would like to say a big thank you to them for their honest and brave contribution."
