Munich, 1 June 2009. Beta Film's Love in Lion City garnered exceptional ratings in Germany. With 4.2 million viewers (market share 16.3 %), the romantic drama set in exotic Singapore locations was primetime winner on the public broadcaster ARD. Director Dirk Regel relates the story of Anniela (Lara Joy Koerner) who surprises her financé (Max Urlacher) in the arms of another woman and flees to Singapore, where she finds her true love (Jason Chan). Love in Lion City, aired on Whitsunday, 31^st May, was produced by Smeaton Entertainment and Six-Six-Eight for ARD in association with Beta.
