Munich, 06 August 2014. Gomorrah kicked off its UK premiere on SKY Atlantic as best rated series-launch this year, beating season premieres of established US series' like Ray Donovan or Banshee on the same network. Gomorrah is the first foreign language series aired on the prestigious SKY Atlantic channel.

Gomorrah received an unprecedented critical acclaim in the UK and all over the world, i.e. The Independent claims "a touch of Tarantino means it´s worth sticking with this gangster tale"; The Telegraph titled the hard-hitting crime series as "ugly, in a good way", and German magazine Spiegel-Online quotes: 'Forget the Sopranos, here they are the Savastanos!'
