"A Day for a Miracle" wins International Emmy

New York, 26 Nov 2013. Beta Film’s A Day for a Miracle has won the International Emmy Award for Best TV Movie. The coproduction by Germany’s Rowboat Film and Austria’s Graf Filmproduktion was honored during Monday’s ceremony in New York leaving international competitors in the category TV-Movie/Miniseries behind. Rowboat CEO Sam Davis stated:  “For us the Emmy is an incentive to continuously take part in the creation of films made with passion and sincerity – regardless of the genre – and for a broad audience.”  Other nominees were Channel 4’s “Secret State” (UK), the Mini-Series “Heaven’s Ark” (Japan) and “Somos-Cadáver se Necesita” (Uruguay). A Day for a Miracle, directed by Andreas Prochaska and starring Ken Duken (“Inglourious Basterds”, “Laconia”), had already won the Bavarian TV Award among others and had been sold by Beta to three dozen territories, among them Spain and Italy. The TV-Movie was produced by Rowboat Film- und Fernsehproduktion in co-production with Graf Filmproduktion, ZDF and ORF in association with Beta.
