Beta's KING delivers strong and stable ratings in Germany

Munich, 6 Dec 2012. Detective Jessica King and her Major Crimes Task Force have delivered strong and stable ratings in Germany, beating US Series on major channels many times. On Vox, the unconventional Canadian detective series thrilled at its premiere 2.6 million viewers on prime time, leaving top-five broadcaster like Sat1 with its "Pillars of the Earth" and the Pro7-series "Grey's Anatomy" and "New Girl" far behind (average 2.1 million/6.7 percent). In the younger target group (14-49 years) King gained an impressive 9.8 percent market share, clearly above the channel's average viewership. In average, King reached a strong market share of 7.5 percent in the target group. The series 21 x 1 hour) features Jess King (Amy Price-Francis, "24", "Californication"), head of the Task Force, who steps in when the cops from the ordinary police force are stumped. Beta Film has sold King in 75 countries, among them Italy's Pay channel FOX, Net5/SBS Netherlands, TV 1 Australia and tcast South Korea. In France King run very successfully on M6.
