Munich, 30 Oct 2012. Beta Film’s spectacular family entertainment mini-series Merlin has enchanted the French TV public. The event-production, starring Gerard Junot (“The Chorus”, Cristiana Capotondi (“Sisi”) and Joséphine de Meaux (“The Intouchables”), fascinated 7 Mio viewers on France’s public channel TF 1, scoring a prime time winning market share of 27 %, exceptional for TF 1’s Monday night. Merlin, produced by GMT Productions in co-production with TF1 in association with Beta, brings the Arthurian saga to new life with excitement, humor, magic and a touch of Harry Potter.
