CEASEFIRE wins PRIX EUROPA Award as Best European TV Movie of the Year

Munich, 24 Oct 2010. Lancelot von Naso’s feature film debut CEASEFIRE has been honoured with the Prix Europa Award as Best European TV Movie 2010. The Prix Europa is the latest in a series of awards for CEASEFIRE, including the Prize of the Ecumenical Jury at the Montreal World Film Festival, the Audience Award at the Zurich Film Festival, the Bavarian Film Award (VGF Award) and the German Film Promotional Award at the Hof International Film Festival (all 2009). Just recently Lancelot von Naso won the Golden Orange as Best Director at the International Film Festival in Antalya/Turkey. The Prix Europa is the most important European festival for television, radio and emerging media. This year 220 productions from 31 countries were nominated for awards.
CEASEFIRE, a story about a medicine transport convoy in Iraq during a 24-hour ceasefire, is starring Thekla Reuten, Matthias Habich and Hannes Jaenicke and has been produced by DRIFE Deyle & Richter Filmproduktion in co-production with DCM Mitte Productions and ERFTTAL Film & Fernsehproduktion, ZDF and ARTE.
